Background

I am a web designer by education, which in turn, falls under the more comprehensive influence of graphic design and visual communication. To this point, having knowledge of the latter is essential in being able to accomplish the former, and that’s what I bring to the table – a well-rounded creative perspective resulting from my experiences in visual content creation.

Having a genuine passion for design, I always look forward to the next creative project to take on. Over the last six years I have worked on various freelance as well as personal projects involving website design/development and WordPress web publishing system implementation. I have also taken on a variety of print design projects comprised of branding/identity packages – including logos, letterheads, and business card designs, as well as specialty projects such as résumé, curriculum vitae, and photo book layouts.

To further pursue my creative interests as well as to build upon my skills as a designer and project manager, I launched my freelance design studio, Sketch Graphx, in June of 2010. Through Sketch Graphx I have the pleasure of connecting with clients in a more personable way, in turn, being more attuned to their needs. Moreover, managing my own freelance design studio afforded me opportunities to establish mutually beneficial relationships with some great clients along the way.

More recently, in late 2011, I co-founded Scratchpaper LLC, now the parent company of Sketch Graphx. Given I'm now a small business owner myself, I enjoy partnering with other small business owners and independent professionals to assist them with first discovering their unique design, promotional, and branding needs, then effectively developing and implementing them.

Of course, there is always something more to learn, as mine is an ever evolving profession. So I choose to continually direct my focus forward to the next creative opportunity, as being creative is what I enjoy doing, and doing competently.
